Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools, a network of K-12 charter schools in targeted Tennessee communities, seeks an experienced Instructional Coach. The role focuses on guiding teachers through evidence-based instructional practices, professional development, and data-driven improvement across campuses.

The coach will facilitate PLCs, model and co-plan instruction, and support system-wide learning goals, contributing to stronger student outcomes and community impact.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of teaching experience at Levels 4-5 with demonstrated gap closure.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate teacher understanding and implementation of standards and college readiness standards by developing school-wide PLCs.
• Facilitate Curriculum Framework implementation through training and observational feedback.
• Create learning plans for teams and teachers aligned to school goals.
• Support teachers’ AMO and personal goals using coaching strategies (co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, side-by-side coaching, observing).
• Analyze teacher practice through classroom observations, data, and student work.
• Provide clear feedback to teachers based on data and practice analysis.
• Collaborate with principals and deans to set and reach academic goals.
• Co-present during New Teacher Seminar & GCS Educator’s Conference.
• Attend monthly Coaching Meetings and IC reports to the principal.
