Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools in Tennessee seeks a Dean to guide instructional program alignment and coach teachers as part of the school leadership team. This role supports district-wide initiatives and student achievement through strong collaboration with the principal and staff.

You will lead professional development, model effective pedagogy, and drive the implementation of CCSS, ACT readiness, GLOE, and Curriculum Frameworks to raise instructional quality and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tennessee teaching and/or admin license required.
• 4+ years of teaching experience at Level 4-5 with gap-closure competency.
• Ability to manage several projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience presenting and training adult teachers.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory.
• Ability to motivate adult learners to improve professional practices.
• Initiative to develop systems to improve teacher practices.
• Strong content knowledge and pedagogy; familiarity with CCSS, ACT standards, and GLOE.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate understanding and implementation of CCSS and ACT standards by developing and executing school-wide PLCs.
• Facilitate the implementation of GCS GLOE and Curriculum Frameworks through training and observational feedback.
• Support teachers' AMO and goals by coaching (co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, side-by-side coaching, observing).
• Continuously analyze teacher practice through classroom observations, data analysis, and review of student work.
• Provide clear, direct feedback to teachers based on data and practice analysis.
• Deliver training for school and GCS professional development meetings.
• Work with the school principal to create, develop and implement academic goals.
