Job summary

Armstrong World Industries is seeking an AS Installation Manager to support Architectural Specialties across North America. The role develops and maintains business by serving as the installation expert for field sales, DSMs, CSMs, ASMs, architects, contractors, owners, and distributors.

You will provide technical solutions and installation assistance, analyze installation concerns, develop solutions, and address field issues while traveling to regional centers as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry expertise.
• 8+ years' experience in project management, estimating, or commercial construction.
• Demonstrated technical skills including carpentry and hands‑on installation.
• Ability to read and analyze blueprints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers.
• Proficient with computer software such as Microsoft Windows applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the AS installation expert for the sales organization and Armstrong customers.
• Drive current and future sales of AS systems by identifying customer needs and installation challenges.
• Collaborate with AS leadership, product managers and field teams to provide solutions.
• Participate in new product development and product improvement efforts as requested.
• Identify opportunities and issues through customer relationships and site visits.
• Provide coaching and training on AS systems for contractors and field staff.
• Occasionally work from Armstrong regional installation training centers.
• Assist with AS claims, evaluate conditions, and recommend solutions.
• Provide installation training for internal and external audiences.
