Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking a skilled inpatient coder to accurately code all levels of hospital visits across the system using ICD-10-CM/PCS and EPIC with computer-assisted coding.

You will sequence diagnoses and procedures for MS-DRG assignment, query clinicians for documentation gaps, and maintain timely abstracts within the hospital information system. You will perform concurrent reviews, assist with third-party audits, and collaborate with care teams to ensure compliant, efficient

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Health Information Management (HIM).
• Completion of coding certificate program.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient visits using ICD-10-CM/PCS in EPIC with CAC.
• Sequence diagnoses and procedures for MS-DRG assignment per guidelines.
• Query physicians for documentation discrepancies and clarifications.
• Abstract information into hospital information systems.
• Complete concurrent reviews for documentation enhancement and interim billing.
• Assist with audits, medical record reviews, and compliance.
