Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an experienced inpatient facility coder to join our health information management team. The role covers ICD-10/PCS coding across Medicare, non-Medicare, surgical, medical, cardiac, moms/babies, and trauma cases in inpatient accounts.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of inpatient facility coding, credentials such as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS, and a strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines. You will maintain coding accuracy, meet productivity standards, and support facility

Qualifications

• 5+ years of inpatient facility coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10/PCS and coding guidelines.
• RHIA, RHIT or CCS credential required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality hospital coding on inpatient accounts (Medicare/Non-Medicare, surgical, medical, cardiac, moms/babies, trauma).
• Maintain knowledge of ICD-10/PCS, regulations, guidelines, and third-party requirements.
• Code all services documented in charts with appropriate ICD-10/PCS codes.
• Pursue proper documentation to correct under-documented services promptly.
• Maintain 96% accuracy and high productivity on coding tasks.
• Meet facility-specific productivity standards and manage pending queues daily.
