Job summary

The Research Foundation for SUNY in Albany, NY seeks a hands-on Design Development Engineer to own inline design of test structures for 300 mm Silicon Photonics technologies. You will develop test plans, analyze data, and document results as part of EPDA/Design Enablement.

Minimum qualifications include a BS/MS/PhD with 10+ years in related area, experience with test structures, automated layout with EDA software, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD with 10+ years of experience in a related area.
• Understanding of process technology, ground rules, and device physics.
• Experience with test methods for electrical and photonics measurements.
• Experience designing test structures for automated characterization.
• Experience with automated layout of test structures using EDA software.
• Experience characterizing electrical and photonic devices.
• Experience analyzing data and developing scripts with statistical tools.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of design and layout of test structures for inline automated characterization.
• Develop and submit test plans for inline structures for electro-optic, passive and electrical components.
• Understand and debug test-related issues.
• Develop scripts and tools for data analysis and parameter extraction.
• Document and present results internally.
• Other reasonable duties assigned.
