Job summary

Ny Creates in Albany, NY seeks a Design Development Engineer to own inline design and monitoring of test structures for 300 mm Silicon Photonics. You will develop test plans for electro‑optic, passive and electrical components, debug issues, and create data analysis scripts to extract parameters.

The role requires deep knowledge of semiconductor device physics, testing methodologies, and automated test-structure layout, with experience in EDA tools and scripting.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD with 10+ years' experience in a related area.
• Understanding of process technology, ground rules, and device physics.
• Experience with automated layout of tests structures using EDA software.
• Experience characterizing electrical and photonic devices.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of design and layout of test structures for inline automated characterization and monitoring.
• Develop and submit test plans for inline structures for electro-optic, passive and electrical components.
• Understand and debug test related issues.
• Develop scripts and tools for analyzing data, extracting parameters, and conclusions.
• Document and present results internally.
• Other reasonable duties assigned.
