Job summary

J&O Plastics Inc. in Rittman, Ohio is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a second- or third-shift injection molding production team.

You will be responsible for the people, decisions, execution, and output of your shift, acting as the senior leader on your team. The role requires a visible floor leader who drives safety, quality, and continuous improvement while coaching employees and delivering results with autonomy.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of manufacturing leadership, team-lead, or production supervision experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead employees and execute production requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using root-cause methods such as 5-Why, 8D, DMAIC, fishbone, or corrective action systems.
• Strong communication, decision-making, prioritization, and conflict-resolution skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Direct injection molding production across 45 presses on the assigned shift.
• Execute the production schedule and respond to changing priorities.
• Assign employees based on production needs and machine requirements.
• Monitor output, cycle performance, labor utilization, downtime, scrap, and quality in real time.
• Execute mold changes and changesovers to setup standards with minimal downtime.
• Identify schedule risks and equipment or material concerns early.
• Coordinate resources to restore safe, stable production.
• Provide clear ownership of open issues and decisions.
