Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking an experienced Process Lead for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Buffalo, NY. You will act as a key technical resource for injection molding operations, driving process optimization, troubleshooting, and training to raise efficiency, output, and product quality.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance, tooling, quality, and plant leadership to maintain process stability and pursue continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Lead injection molding process monitoring, optimization, troubleshooting, and improvements.
• Develop process parameters, baseline setup standards, alarm parameters, and documentation for injection molding machines.
• Train and support Injection Operators and Process Technicians to improve technical capability and production performance.
• Partner with production, maintenance, tooling, quality, and technical teams to resolve issues and improve output.
• 7 to 10 years of advanced experience with injection molding machines and related processes.
• Advanced knowledge of injection molding, process optimization, cycle time reduction, cavitation, mold performance, and material feeding systems.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to injection equipment, hydraulics, electrical systems, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and process documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, Shift Leaders, technicians, operators, and management.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to support team members in meeting daily production, quality, and safety goals.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and process documentation.
• Optimize cycle times, cavitation, machine setup, feeding systems, and overall performance.
• Provide technical direction to technicians and operators.
• Lead or support process improvement, mold reviews, and product qualification projects.
• Develop and deliver training plans and competency assessments.
• Support quality and compliance through corrective actions and root cause analysis.
