Job summary
Penske Logistics is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Infrastructure) in Beachwood, OH. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting the enterprise infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and backup technologies.
You will ensure high availability, security, and performance across Windows and Linux platforms. You will lead infrastructure initiatives, collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, and participate in after-hours support and on-call
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT/CS/Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years in systems engineering or enterprise IT support.
- Experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
- Experience managing virtualization and storage platforms.
- Strong scripting and automation experience.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support Windows and Linux server environments.
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, Hyper-V).
- Support Dell EMC SAN/NAS storage and related infrastructure.
- Design and maintain highly available virtual infrastructure.
- Lead disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
- Implement automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.
- Support cloud and hybrid infrastructure initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with teams.
