Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions is seeking a Staff System Engineer/Infrastructure Lead to design and evolve network and connectivity solutions for digital products and SaaS platforms. This role partners with Enterprise IT and product teams to deliver secure, scalable systems in a cloud and on-premise environment.

The position requires deep technical expertise, strong systems thinking, and the ability to operate in a matrixed, shared-responsibility model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in network engineering, systems engineering, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience supporting digital products, SaaS platforms, or customer-facing applications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Hybrid cloud networking and distributed systems.
• Strong experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift) and service meshes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network and connectivity solutions for digital products and SaaS platforms.
• Translate requirements into scalable, secure, high-performing infrastructure designs.
• Architect and support hybrid and cloud-native networking across cloud platforms and data centers.
• Ensure high availability, resiliency, and performance of product-facing systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and infra teams to design resilient systems.
