Job summary

Commure is hiring early-career Software Engineers to join an engineering team building an AI-native platform for healthcare. You will own meaningful production systems from day one across backend, frontend, mobile, and infrastructure, contributing to AI-powered workflows and reliable clinical software used by providers.

You will work with clinicians and engineers to reduce documentation burden, automate revenue workflows, and scale platform services for thousands of healthcare organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, graduating recently or soon
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, OS, databases, networking, or distributed systems
• Experience building software through internships, research, open-source, coursework, startups or personal projects
• Ability to write clean, understandable, and maintainable code
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across multiple layers of a system
• Curiosity about how complex systems work beyond the component you are directly working on
• Care about reliability and performance, not just getting a feature to work
• High ownership—you care about whether what you built works in production
• Willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies and move quickly
• Prefer ownership and autonomy over narrowly scoped tickets
• Want to work close to users and see impact quickly
• Strong communication and ability to work closely with engineers and non-engineers

Responsibilities

• Build product features across web, mobile, and backend applications
• Develop reliable APIs and backend services for high-volume clinical workflows
• Build data processing pipelines for complex healthcare data
• Build and improve AI systems: inference pipelines and orchestration
• Improve monitoring, observability, and overall performance and reliability
• Design internal tools to accelerate engineering and production readiness
• Collaborate with product, design, clinical, and customer teams to ship real solutions
