Job summary

Wilson Elser seeks a Sr. Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our nationwide team. You will lead Azure administration, SQL Server operations, and DR planning across on‑prem and cloud platforms, ensuring resilience, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Strong communication and project leadership are essential. Responsibilities include managing VMware, storage, and Dell hardware, plus enterprise certificates and Office 365 suites.

Qualifications

• Broad hands-on knowledge of Server Infrastructure and Cloud technologies and best practices.
• Knowledge of data privacy and protection requirements.
• Ability to conduct research into new technologies and products.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support the firm's Azure estate including landing zone and migrations.
• Own SQL Server platform including Always On and DR runbooks; troubleshoot and triage SQL tickets.
• Administer VMware vCenter across sites and manage DR testing with Site Recovery Manager.
• Manage storage arrays (Pure Storage, HPE 3PAR) and firmware lifecycle.
• Handle Dell OpenManage and hardware fault remediation; coordinate vendor RMAs.
• Monitor and tune SolarWinds; reduce alert noise and improve actionability.
• Manage enterprise certificates lifecycle and renewal calendar.
• Provide depth for Active Directory and Exchange On-Premises; support Teams/SharePoint/OneDrive migrations.
• Serve as senior escalation point; own major incidents and publish RCAs.
• Maintain Windows Server OS 2012–2022 with upgrade paths and clustering; support Azure migrations.
• Oversee virtualization across on‑prem and Azure environments; Hyper‑V experience is a plus.
• Scripting in PowerShell and documenting standard procedures for team use.
• Excel in communication and collaboration; contribute to a resilient, knowledge‑sharing organization.
• Participate in weekly on‑call rotation and follow established on‑call runbooks.
