Job summary

Wilson Elser is seeking a Sr. Infrastructure Operations Engineer to lead engineering, implementation, and support across Windows, virtualization, storage, SQL Server, and cloud infrastructure (on-premises and Azure).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or 7+ years of hands-on infra experience.
• 7+ years of infrastructure engineering, including senior/ escalation capacity.
• Experience with Windows Server 2012–2022 and failover clustering.
• Experience migrating workloads to Azure (PaaS/IaaS).
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Azure ownership: administer Azure estate and migrate workloads from on-premises.
• SQL Server platform ownership: install/patch, Always On, backups, and DR runbooks.
• VMware/SRM: manage vSphere/vCenter and DR tests with validated recovery docs.
• Storage: manage Pure Storage and HPE 3PAR provisioning and replication.
• Dell hardware: OpenManage and blade chassis lifecycle management.
• Monitoring: tune SolarWinds alerts and reduce noise.
• Certificates lifecycle management across enterprise apps.
• AD/Exchange On-Premises depth support behind primary owners.
• Escalation: own major incidents and publish RCAs.
