Job summary

Wilson Elser seeks a Sr. Infrastructure Operations Engineer to deliver expert support across Windows, virtualization, storage, SQL Server, and cloud infra. You will act as a senior escalation point, design resilient architectures, and guide incident response with strong documentation.

The role emphasizes leading migrations to Azure, SQL Server availability and DR procedures, and cross-training team members to build a robust, knowledge-sharing Operations group.

Qualifications

• Broad hands-on knowledge of server infrastructure and cloud technologies.
• Ability to act as final technical escalation point during major incidents.
• Strong documentation and cross-training capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own Azure estate and migrations from on-premises to Azure.
• Manage SQL Server platforms, Always On, DR runbooks, and backups.
• Administer VMware vSphere/vCenter across sites and plan DR testing.
• Oversee storage arrays (Pure Storage, HPE 3PAR) and Dell hardware.
• Lead monitoring with SolarWinds and manage certificates lifecycle.
• Provide enterpriseAD/Exchange on-prem depth and support.
• Develop repeatable procedures and publish RCA for incidents.
