Job summary

Wilson Elser is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our nationwide IT team. This role focuses on Azure and on‑prem infrastructure, SQL Server operations, virtualization, storage, and enterprise certificate management, guiding complex incidents and delivering resilient designs.

You will work with security, networking, and apps teams to create repeatable procedures, document runbooks, and mentor peers to reduce single points of failure across Windows Server, SQL, and cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 10+ years of hands‑on infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Primary owner of Azure estate, including migration from on‑prem to Azure.
• Own SQL Server platform end to end, Always On, DR runbooks, backups and recovery testing.
• Administer VMware/vCenter, DR planning with SRM and recovery documentation.
• Manage storage arrays (Pure Storage, HPE 3PAR) and server hardware (Dell OpenManage).
• Lead incident escalation, root cause analysis, and publish RCAs.
• Maintain Enterprise certificates lifecycle and renewals.
• Collaborate across teams and produce repeatable operational procedures.
