Job summary

BJC HealthCare is hiring an Sr. Solution Infrastructure Engineer. This role focuses on storage, data center, and VMware within a primarily remote setting, with onsite requirements in the St. Louis metro area as needed.

The Infrastructure Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing and deploying configurations from the approved technology portfolio to support large-scale business solutions, while proactively managing technical debt and legacy risks.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience designing large/complex systems and conducting impact analysis.
• Strong networking, security and systems lifecycle knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Designs large or complex systems and performs impact analysis on major design options.
• Adopts system design methods and contributes to standards and architecture components.
• Produces or approves network designs, topologies, and configuration databases.
• Specifies design parameters for network connectivity, capacity, speed, interfacing, security and access.
• Collaborates with teams responsible for ongoing systems and software lifecycle management.
