Job summary
NBBJ Columbus is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our Digital Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will manage enterprise virtualization and storage, monitor performance and DR readiness, and lead troubleshooting for complex infrastructure across multiple sites.
Strong experience with VMware, HPE GreenLake, Windows Server, AD/Entra ID, and Commvault is required. The role is fully remote within the United States, with occasional travel and on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Seven+ years of systems engineering experience in a multi-location enterprise.
- Hands-on with virtualization (VMware) and HPE GreenLake.
- Experience managing Windows Server, AD/Entra ID, and storage platforms.
- Knowledge of backup/recovery design, policy, and disaster recovery.
Responsibilities
- Manage virtualization and storage platforms and capacity planning.
- Monitor health, performance, and growth; mitigate risks proactively.
- Administer backup/recovery services with Commvault, including DR readiness.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and implement sustainable fixes.
- Provide escalation support and mentor teammates.
- Design and operate highly available virtual server platforms.
- Document configurations and workflows for operational use cases.
- Participate in on-call rotations and travel occasionally.
