Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking an Sr. Solution Infrastructure Engineer to design and deploy infrastructure components, focusing on storage, data center, and VMware technologies. The role is remote, with preference for candidates in the St.

Louis metro area, and onsite presence required on occasion. The ideal candidate has deep experience in enterprise infrastructure and can manage technical debt while proposing remedial actions for legacy platforms.

BJC is hiring for an Sr. Solution Infrastructure Engineer. We are looking for applicants with storage, data center, and vmware. This is a remote position, but looking for applicants in the St. Louis metro area. Onsite will be required on occasion.

Role Purpose

The Infrastructure Solutions Engineer (ISE) is primarily responsible for the design and deployment of technical configuration Items from the approved technology portfolio to support larger and more complex business solutions. The Sr. ISE plays a broader role in managing Technical Debt through proactive identification of risks and threats of legacy platforms and providing proposals for remediations

Responsibilities

• Designs large or complex systems and undertakes impact analysis on major design options and trade-offs. Takes technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of configuration development and deployment.
• Adopts and adapts system design methods, tools and techniques. Contributes to development of system design policies, standards and selection of architecture components.
• Produces, or approves network providers', network architectures, topologies and configuration databases for own area of responsibility.
• Specifies design parameters for network connectivity, capacity, speed, interfacing, security and access, in line with business requirements.
• Collaborates with those responsible for ongoing systems and software life cycle management to select, adopt and adapt working practices.
