Job summary

Buffer is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own reliability and evolve our platform for millions of creators. You’ll lead on-call practices, modernize our infra (Kubernetes, EKS, Argo Rollouts, Terraform), and build developer tooling that accelerates the inner loop.

A remote-first, globally distributed team enables collaboration across time zones. You will partner with EPD and security teams, contribute to instrumentation with Datadog and Sentry, and shape scalable, cost-aware

Qualifications

Experience running production Kubernetes deployments and managing Helm charts.
Strong knowledge of AWS, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure.
Experience with CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
Proven incident response and postmortems experience.
Experience building internal developer tooling.
Able to work in remote, async environments.

Responsibilities

Own the day-to-day reliability of our production platform. Manage on-call rotations across the team.
Build progressive delivery using Argo Rollouts with quick rollback paths.
Develop internal developer tools and evolve local development environments and CLI tooling.
Reduce operational toil with AI to accelerate engineers and remove repetitive work.
Keep the stack current with runtime upgrades, Kubernetes, EKS, Helm, and Terraform.
Improve observability and cloud spend through better metrics and log filtering.
Collaborate with EPD and security teams to raise documentation and ownership standards.
