Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Member of Technical Staff, Infrastructure to own reliability, scalability, and observability in a remote-first environment. This hands-on role pushes infrastructure toward AI-powered automation and self-managing systems.

You'll work across AWS/GCP/Azure, IaC, containers, monitoring, security, and incident response, building tools that let a small engineering team move fast without sacrificing reliability. AI agents should be part of daily development.

Qualifications

• Staff-level engineering with deep experience in Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on experience operating production systems on major cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Expertise in infrastructure as code, container orchestration, CI/CD, networking, cloud security, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing observability and incident response for complex production environments.
• Ownership of infrastructure migrations, security improvements, and reliability initiatives.
• AI-native engineering habits: using AI coding agents and automation that reduces toil.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to build internal tools and production-grade services.
• Track record of independently identifying systemic problems, designing solutions, and shipping end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-powered workflows for provisioning, deployments, monitoring, incidents, and remediation.
• Architect resilient, secure cloud infrastructure to support AI workloads.
• Build logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting for production visibility.
• Automate repetitive infra tasks with intelligent automation and self-service tools.
• Drive cloud security hygiene, upgrades, migrations, and modernization.
• Improve developer velocity with infrastructure platforms and workflows.
• Mentor engineers, set technical standards, influence architecture hands-on.
