Job summary

OneMain Financial is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to own and improve production operations for OneMain Auto, including incident response, automation, and cross-team collaboration. You will support Windows/IIS/SQL Server on Azure IaaS, drive observability, and participate in on-call rotations.

The role emphasizes advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and modernization of hosting components to ensure high availability of critical auto applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production operations, site reliability engineering, or a related role.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced Level 3 production support for OneMain Auto applications and supporting components.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, Azure IaaS, authentication, connectivity, and dependent services.
• Build, configure, maintain, and improve operating components used by OneMain Auto applications within enterprise standards.
• Serve as Level 4 escalation point for external partners and coordinate investigations through resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve long-term reliability.
• Collaborate with incident response teams as the technical SME for supported systems.
• Improve observability with monitoring, logging, alerts, and telemetry.
• Identify and reduce toil through PowerShell and automation.
• Support deployments, patching, and production readiness for OneMain Auto systems.
• Maintain knowledge of network dependencies and cloud networking; coordinate with network teams as needed.
• Collaborate across application development, network, database, security, IAM, platform, cloud, and enterprise operations teams.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for production systems.
• Develop reusable configurations, scripts, and tooling to improve consistency and reliability.
• Contribute to standardization and infrastructure-as-code practices for repeatable provisioning.
