OneMain Financial is seeking a seasoned Platform Engineer to own and improve production operations for OneMain Auto workloads. You will troubleshoot Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, and Azure IaaS environments, while building automation and observability across multi‑tier systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production operations, SRE, or related technical role.
• Hands-on Windows Server production experience.
• Knowledge of IIS administration and app hosting.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Azure experience with emphasis on IaaS workloads.
• Strong networking fundamentals for cross-system troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and RCA across complex systems.
• Experience working with external vendors on high-severity escalations.
• Ability to coordinate work across enterprise technology teams in a cloud-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 production support for OneMain Auto applications and supporting components.
• Troubleshoot complex application-hosting and system issues across Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, Azure IaaS, authentication, connectivity, and dependent services.
• Build, configure, maintain, and improve operating components used by OneMain Auto applications within approved enterprise standards.
• Serve as the Level 4 escalation point for external partners, vendors, and third-party service providers; coordinate investigations through resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions to improve long-term reliability.
• Improve observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, health checks, and telemetry.
• Identify and reduce operational toil through PowerShell and automation.
• Support deployments, configuration changes, patching, maintenance, and production readiness for OneMain Auto systems.
• Coordinate with network teams for cloud networking changes or troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with application development, network, database, security, IAM, platform, cloud, and enterprise operations teams.
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems.
• Develop reusable configurations, scripts, deployment patterns, and tooling; standardize environments.
• Contribute to IaC practices and modernization efforts including containerization.
• Partner with platform engineering to improve operability and lifecycle management of OneMain Auto workloads.
