Job summary

Adapt is seeking a product-focused engineer to own and scale secure, multi-tenant sandbox orchestration and storage. You’ll drive reliability, performance, and cost across customer workloads while shaping architecture with customers and engineers.

You will participate in visible infra projects, deployments, and on-call work; the role includes working from our Presidio office in San Francisco with remote options for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering experience, with substantial infrastructure ownership, ideally at an early-stage company.
• Experience operating multi-tenant compute systems, including isolation, reliability, and cost.
• Strong Rust or Go skills, Linux fundamentals, and fluency in TypeScript or an appetite to learn.
• Hands-on cloud, Kubernetes, and container or microVM experience, including runtimes such as Firecracker or gVisor.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale secure, multi-tenant sandbox orchestration and distributed storage.
• Improve the reliability, performance, and cost of customer workloads.
• Own deployments, observability, runbooks, and on-call support for the systems you ship.
• Work directly with customers and engineers to solve problems across infrastructure and product.
• Make clear architecture decisions, ship in small increments, and help teammates grow.
