Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) seeks a Senior Infrastructure Industrial Designer to join its Design Engineering Group. You will contribute to the design of infrastructure facilities across North America, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and leading design tasks for rail, bus, and transit projects.

The role offers remote or office-based work from Lone Tree, CO, New York, NY, or Raleigh, NC, with travel to sites as required and a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with design-build or alternative delivery methods a plus.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Advance technical design for transportation infrastructure facilities (rail, bus, etc.).
• Coordinate industrial building and facility activities with design consultants and internal teams.
• Lead engineering design tasks, developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for final design.
• Develop task scopes, schedules, and budgets for industrial designs and site layouts.
• Provide technical reviews at conceptual and final design stages.
• Perform interdisciplinary reviews to coordinate with other disciplines and contract documents.
• Lead technical meetings and develop innovative design solutions.
