Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) has an immediate opening for a dynamic Infrastructure Industrial Designer in our growing Design Engineering Group. You will help advance the design of transportation facilities across the United States, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on rail, bus, and other transit projects.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, 10+ years' experience, and a PE license, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering.
• 10+ years' experience in industrial engineering design.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in at least one state.
• Experience with Design-Build or other delivery methods preferred.
• Established relationships with public/private transportation agencies.

Responsibilities

• Advance technical and business applications of Transportation Infrastructure Facilities group.
• Coordinate activities with design consultants in USA/Canada and resources across teams.
• Lead design tasks and coordinate plans, specifications, and estimates for train/bus facilities.
• Develop task scopes, schedules, and budgets for industrial designs and site layouts.
• Identify technical requirements and implement engineering principles for solutions.
• Provide technical reviews at conceptual and final design stages.
