Job summary

Sight Machine is seeking a senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead reliability and automation across the platform. You will design and operate scalable infrastructure for AI-driven workloads, mentor engineers, and drive cross-team initiatives to improve stability and availability.

The role requires deep Kubernetes and cloud experience, hands-on coding, and a startup-minded, proactive approach in a remote-friendly, hybrid environment across the US.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Kubernetes/Docker in production.
• Strong background in IaC and CI/CD tooling.
• Proficient coding in Python/Go/Java for tooling & automation.
• Hands-on Linux networking, observability, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate infrastructure for AI/LLM workloads at scale.
• Lead reliability practices, SLOs, and incident postmortems.
• Mentor engineers and contribute hands-on to code, infra, and outages.
• Develop internal platforms and developer tooling for engineering teams.
• Participate in on-call coverage and drive automation to reduce toil.
• Collaborate with teams to improve system stability and performance.
