Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Staff-level engineer to own infrastructure reliability, scalability, and observability in a remote-first environment. The role focuses on AI-driven automation and self-healing systems, spanning cloud infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, security, and incident response.

You will build AI-powered workflows, mentor engineers, and drive standards while enabling rapid development without sacrificing reliability. Strong DevOps/SRE background required.

Qualifications

• Staff-level engineering with deep infra/DevOps/SRE experience.
• Extensive production systems on major clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Infrastructure as code, containers, CI/CD, networking, security, and observability.
• AI-native habits: using AI coding agents to reduce toil.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-powered workflows for provisioning, deployments, monitoring, and remediation.
• Architect resilient, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Build comprehensive logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting for production health.
• Eliminate repetitive infra work through intelligent automation and self-service tooling.
• Drive cloud security hygiene, upgrades, and migrations end-to-end.
• Improve developer velocity by building infra platforms and workflows.
• Mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions.
