Job summary

Engine is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in the United States to own the central infrastructure and set long-term technical direction. You’ll collaborate with product teams to build platform capabilities that scale with the business and improve reliability.

You’ll work hands-on with AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability tooling to deliver robust deployments, cost visibility, and a strong engineering culture. Hybrid/remote options are available.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and operating production cloud infra with strong AWS multi-account, networking, IAM, security boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for a major area of Engine's infrastructure over a multi-quarter horizon and communicate priorities.
• Lead multiple infra initiatives in parallel, coordinating across central and feature teams.
• Design and ship Terraform modules, pipeline patterns, and operational tooling adopted by product teams.
• Separate signal from noise in feature requests and decide what deserves a paved road.
• Own incident response, on-call quality, deployment reliability, and vendor integration health.
• Shape guidelines, tools, and methods used by engineers and coach others.
• Represent the infra team in cross-functional conversations with leadership and stakeholders.
• Help reduce SDLC friction by lowering gate counts and simplifying workflows.
