Job summary

Pilot is seeking a senior infra engineer to join our Infrastructure team, building scalable, reliable building blocks from AWS infrastructure to the product platform used by engineers. You will own the full stack, work across teams, and mentor teammates to foster growth.

You should bring 5+ years as a software engineer, production Python experience, and familiarity with Terraform and AWS. This role is remote within the United States, with strong emphasis on collaboration and high-quality code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Experience with Python in production
• Experience with Terraform, AWS
• Familiarity with the frontend ecosystem and frontend infrastructure tools
• Able to work collaboratively across functions
• Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills
• Able to write well-structured, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and teach others
• Remote employment in the United States in CA, GA, NY, NC, TN, TX, WA

Responsibilities

• Building, testing and deploying software in a continuous manner (daily or more frequent)
• Creating and contributing to technical specs and rollout plans
• Working with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure solving right problems
