Job summary

VSCO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure to own the platform used by product and data teams. You will design and operate the AWS/EKS platform, implement Terraform modules, and ensure secure, scalable deployment pipelines.

You will collaborate across teams to place infrastructure in shared infra, drive production readiness, and own on-call improvements. Hybrid work near SF preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure, platform, or site reliability engineering with hands-on production ownership.
• Shipped and operated Kubernetes/EKS with Terraform IaC in production.
• AWS production experience: EKS, IAM/IRSA, VPC/DNS, and RDS/MySQL or OpenSearch/Redis.
• GitOps mindset with Flux/Helm and GitHub Actions in production.
• Familiar with languages used in CI builds; comfortable supporting pipelines and runners.

Responsibilities

• Design Terraform modules and deploy production-ready infrastructure.
• Cut production traffic to EKS and manage rollout plan and rollbacks.
• Collaborate on infra decisions with product and data teams.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and self-hosted runners for multiple stacks.
• Operate core data stores and caches as platform services (MySQL, Mongo, Redis, OpenSearch).
• Manage DNS/CDN via Cloudflare/CloudFront and monitor security controls.
• Improve observability with dashboards, monitors, and autoscaling.
• Participate in infra on-call and translate incidents into durable fixes.
