Job summary
Protocol Labs, Inc. is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer for its Foundations Engineering team in San Francisco. You will help shape infrastructure strategy across AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform, and scale services for top enterprise customers.
You will run on-call rotations, lead large projects, and deliver production-ready infrastructure as code. This role emphasizes reliability, performance, and collaboration with the engineering org.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of full-time DevOps experience.
- Deep experience with AWS/GCP, Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Ability to own planning and deployment of highly scalable systems.
- Familiar with AWS Aurora, Redshift, Kinesis, EC2, EKS, ECS, Redis, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics.
Responsibilities
- Build reliable, highly scalable architectures for large customers.
- Participate in roadmapping, architecture, and planning discussions.
- Produce production-ready infrastructure as code.
- Lead large projects from inception to production.
- Run production systems at scale.
- Participate in on-call rotation and infrastructure maintenance.
