Job summary

Vista-Higher-Learning- is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to build scalable AWS infrastructure and automated DevOps solutions. You will shape DevOps practices, improve observability, and partner with development and security teams to embed security in the delivery lifecycle.

You will lead incident response, design CI/CD pipelines, and mentor engineers while collaborating with the Director of DevOps to drive reliability across environments. BostonHybrid/Remote within Eastern US.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Engineering experience with 5+ years in a DevOps role.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Route53, and RDS.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure, reusable IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring/observability with Datadog.
• Proficient in Linux system administration and networking.
• Experience scripting in Python, Bash, or Ruby to automate DevOps tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve scalable AWS infrastructure and DevOps solutions.
• Develop and maintain secure IaC and CI/CD pipelines for reliable delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex build, test, deployment, and production issues; lead incident response.
• Collaborate with SRE, engineering, security, and operations for monitoring and security.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement and technical excellence.
