Job summary

VSCO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure to own the platform for product and data teams. You will co-ordinate Terraform, Helm, Flux GitOps, and EKS across infra and app repos, ensuring production readiness and scalable operations.

You will design modules, perform end-to-end cutovers, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure, platform, or site reliability engineering with hands-on production ownership.
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes/EKS, Linux, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• AWS in production: EKS, IAM/IRSA, networking, and a database/cache product like MySQL/Redis/OpenSearch.
• GitOps and CI/CD in anger: Flux/Helm and GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the AWS and EKS platform with Terraform, Helm/Kustomize, and Flux across repos.
• Own production cutovers end to end: ingress, DNS, telemetry, and rollback plans.
• Collaborate with product/data teams on infra ownership and shared‑infra patterns.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and runners for language ecosystems (Go, Python, PHP, Node, Java, Ruby).
• Run core data stores and caches as platform services (MySQL, Mongo, Redis, OpenSearch).
• Provide observability and autoscaling with dashboards and alerts.
