Job summary

City of Cleveland Heights is seeking an IT Supervisor to provide oversight for information technology staff and to assist in directing and administering all network activities, communications, software acquisitions, and other IT services for the city.

The role requires managing enterprise systems, security, disaster recovery, and strategic planning while collaborating with vendors and user departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or CS with 3–5 years related experience.
• Experience designing, installing, and maintaining virtual infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of networks, VoIP, IP addressing and data security.
• Ability to lead projects and supervise IT staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervises technical personnel responsible for application support, operations and scheduling, and hardware and software maintenance.
• Installs, configures, administrates and maintains the Virtual Server and Desktop Environment.
• Implements network security and administration of the city's WAN/LAN.
• Develops specifications and reviews proposals for network, computer, and communications hardware, software, and services.
• Prepares reports as requested.
• Meets with user departments, vendors, and consultants to discuss plans and operations.
