Job summary

Excellus BCBS in the United States is seeking an Information Security Architect to help develop and execute the security risk management strategy across IT infrastructure and applications. You will provide technical expertise, consult with management and stakeholders, and drive secure, risk-based designs that align with business goals.

Level I/II responsibilities include creating security requirements, leading risk assessments, coordinating with vendors, and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Five years in an information security role with broad technology exposure.
• Strong communication, analysis and stakeholder influence.
• Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, PCI/DSS and ISO27001/NIST standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security architecture standards aligned to business goals.
• Lead risk assessments of solutions and vendors for proper controls.
• Consult on design reviews and security controls across projects.
• Mentor staff and foster a security-conscious culture.
