Job summary

Solve IT Strategies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist to support an inpatient rehabilitation service line across two Maryland locations. The role requires CIC certification, strong clinical judgment, and independent work across Rockville and White Oak facilities.

You will lead surveillance, outbreak investigations, and collaborate with clinical leaders to maintain regulatory readiness and patient safety in a fast-paced acute-care environment.

Qualifications

• Active CIC certification required.
• Minimum 5 years in direct Infection Prevention/Infection Control in an acute-care hospital.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field required.
• RN licensure is not required.
• Onsite work across two Maryland locations Rockville and White Oak.

Responsibilities

• Conduct infection surveillance and investigate outbreaks as indicated.
• Support the design and delivery of educational presentations on infection prevention and isolation precautions.
• Manage day-to-day Infection Prevention program operations across the service line.
• Collaborate with Occupational Health, Infectious Disease, and other clinical resources on infection concerns.
• Report communicable diseases to appropriate public health authorities.
• Maintain Infection Prevention databases and surveillance records on schedule.
• Participate in facility-level and system-wide Infection Prevention meetings and leadership discussions.
