Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Infection Preventionist to reduce healthcare-associated infection risk across the system. You will collaborate with the HEIP leaders to monitor compliance with CMS, state, and local health departments, and lead surveillance activities.

This role emphasizes problem-solving, mentoring staff, and presenting surveillance findings to the CIC. Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree with 2–3 years in acute care, plus experience in data analysis and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 2–3 years recent clinical experience in the acute care setting.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic data analysis.
• Experience as an RN, Medical Technologist, Epidemiologist, or Public Health field.

Responsabilités

• Perform surveillance rounds on designated units and high-risk areas.
• Collect and analyze infection information for patients and staff.
• Lead investigations of infection clusters and outbreaks.
• Prepare reports from gathered data and present findings to committees.
• Provide training and lectures on infection prevention.
