Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Industrial Water Wastewater Process Engineer with 7+ years of consulting engineering experience to contribute to a growing portfolio of industrial water and wastewater projects.

You will lead process design efforts, applying physical/chemical and biological treatment technologies, while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. The role supports study through operation and maintenance across the United States, with some international travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in the industrial water/wastewater field.
• Willing to travel up to 25% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Function as the process engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects.
• Apply processes and technologies for physical/chemical primary treatment, biological treatment, membrane treatment, adsorption, filtration, disinfection, thermal evaporation and crystallization.
• Receive technical mentoring and guidance from a senior process engineer.
• Delegate engineering or scientific calculations/ drawings to junior staff.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams to implement complex treatment solutions, and support implementation of projects from study phase through design, construction, startup and commissioning, and operation and maintenance of treatment systems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering

Master’s degree in engineering or related field

Professional Engineer (PE) license
