Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Industrial Wastewater Engineer to join our Industrial Wastewater Treatment team in Syracuse, NY. You will lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex treatment systems across North America, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

The role emphasizes project leadership, mentorship of junior engineers, and delivering safe, compliant, and high‑quality solutions within schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 7 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead analyses, process evaluations, engineering calculations and design activities for industrial wastewater treatment projects.
• Develop and implement treatment solutions using physical, chemical, biological, membrane, filtration, disinfection, evaporation and crystallization processes.
• Manage project tasks, deliverables, budgets, schedules and safety requirements.
• Prepare scopes of work, technical reports, cost estimates and project documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated treatment solutions.
• Build strong client relationships and provide technical guidance.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality and compliance with Arcadis standards.
