Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Industrial Wastewater Engineer to join our Syracuse, NY team. You will lead design efforts, mentor staff, and coordinate client-focused wastewater treatment projects across North America.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to plan, design, and implement advanced treatment systems that meet regulatory and performance goals while staying on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 7 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment engineering.
• Master’s degree in Engineering or related field is preferred; PE license in NY is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical analyses, process evaluations, engineering calculations, and design activities for industrial wastewater treatment projects.
• Develop treatment solutions using physical, chemical, biological, membrane, filtration, adsorption, disinfection, thermal evaporation, and crystallization processes.
• Manage project tasks, technical deliverables, schedules, and budgets to ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget execution.
• Prepare scopes of work, technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation to support successful delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-performance treatment solutions.
• Build strong client relationships, provide technical guidance, and deliver value-driven solutions.
• Mentor and support junior engineers while upholding Arcadis' standards.
