Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Industrial Wastewater Engineer to join our Industrial Wastewater Treatment team in Syracuse, NY. You will lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex wastewater treatment systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver sustainable, compliant solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage scopes and budgets, and travel up to 25% for site assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering and 7 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment engineering.
• Master’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• PE license in NY or reciprocity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead analyses, design activities, and engineering calculations for industrial wastewater projects.
• Develop treatment solutions using physical, chemical, biological, membrane, filtration, and other processes.
• Manage tasks, schedules, budgets, and deliverables with quality and safety.
• Prepare scopes of work, technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build strong client relationships.
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff to meet Arcadis’ standards.
