Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Service Technician to maintain, repair, and support industrial refrigeration systems at customer sites across North America. You will work on ammonia and Freon systems, troubleshoot controls, and lead safety-focused service visits.

The role demands hands-on expertise, strong communication with Service Managers and customers, and mentoring of apprentices. Expect 45–60 hour weeks, on-site work, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC tech school preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required or ability to obtain.
• RETA 1/2 certification preferred.
• Safety-sensitive position with pre-employment drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert repair and maintenance for industrial refrigeration systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose and service ammonia and Freon systems ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Troubleshoot control systems, alarms, and electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies; use PPE and respirators.
• Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance with Service Managers and customers.
• Mentor apprentices to develop skills and service quality.
