Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. seeks a Senior Service Technician to maintain and repair industrial ammonia and refrigerant systems at customer sites across North America.

The role requires 5+ years in the field, strong electrical controls knowledge, and leadership in safety and service quality. You will troubleshoot compressors and control systems, perform routine and emergency service, mentor apprentices, and ensure compliance with PPE and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED (HVAC tech school preferred).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in industrial refrigeration service.
• Universal EPA certification OR ability to obtain.
• RETA 1&2 certifications preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment and ongoing drug testing.
• Physically able to climb ladders, wear respirator, and lift up to 75 lb.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert repair and maintenance for industrial ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems.
• Perform routine and emergency service, diagnostics, and inspections on compressors.
• Troubleshoot control systems, alarms, and electrical systems.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper PPE usage; mentor apprentices.
• Coordinate repairs with Service Managers and customers; support field operations.
