Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Service Technician to maintain, repair, and support industrial ammonia and CO₂ refrigeration systems at customer sites across North America.

You will lead safety initiatives and mentor junior technicians while delivering dependable service. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of field experience, EPA universal certification or ability to obtain it, and strong knowledge of electrical controls and preventive maintenance for large

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC/refrigeration trade school is a plus.
• 5+ years of relevant field experience in industrial refrigeration.
• EPA Universal Certification or ability to obtain.
• RETA 1/2 certifications preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and maintain safety standards.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lb and work 10–12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert repair and maintenance for industrial ammonia and CO₂ refrigeration systems.
• Perform routine and emergency service, diagnostics, and inspections on compressors.
• Troubleshoot control systems, alarms, and electrical systems.
• Adhere to safety standards and company policies, including PPE and respirator use.
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance with Service Managers and customers.
• Mentor apprentices and support junior technicians to maintain service quality.
