Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Senior Service Technician to maintain and repair industrial refrigeration systems at customer sites.

The role requires hands-on expertise with ammonia and CO₂ systems, and a strong focus on safety and reliability. You will lead service activities, train apprentices, and coordinate with service managers to plan preventative maintenance and urgent repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• More than 5 years of relevant experience.
• EPA certification OR ability to obtain.
• RETA 1/2 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain industrial ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Perform routine and emergency service, diagnostics, and inspections on compressors.
• Troubleshoot control systems, alarms, and electrical systems.
• Mentor and support apprentice technicians and coordinate with Service Managers.
