Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors in La Porte, TX is seeking an experienced Planner to lead scheduling and cost-control on on-site heavy industrial projects. You will develop and monitor schedules, coordinate with engineers and contractors, and ensure on-time delivery with safety considerations.

The role requires 5+ years in planning and estimating, strong Primavera P6 and MS Project skills, and excellent communication with attention to detail in a collaborative, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant industrial planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of project controls and scheduling standards.
• Experience coordinating with engineering disciplines and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Developing schedules and analysis for contract packages to forecast construction activities and identify coordination issues.
• Developing, monitoring and updating schedules by obtaining updates through meetings and field verification.
• Understanding Earned Value and Project Productivity.
• Monitoring and maintaining the change notice/change order management system.
• Facilitating weekly change notice hearings and meetings.
• Developing, monitoring, and updating schedules.
• Establishing a progressive system for projects.
• Assisting clients and teammates in developing construction and contract strategies.
• Assisting in quantity analysis for duration of activities and estimating purposes.
