Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. is seeking a Planner to coordinate and lead planning and scheduling for heavy industrial engineering projects on site in LaPorte, TX.

The role includes monitoring project costs and assisting with estimating activities, under minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant industrial planning experience, expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, and a strong focus on coordination, schedule integrity, and logistics to support project

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules and analysis for contract packages to forecast construction activities and identify coordination issues.
• Develop, monitor and update schedules via meetings, coordination interviews and field verification.
• Understand Earned Value and Project Productivity.
• Monitor and maintain the change notice/change order management system.
• Assist in facilitating weekly change notice hearings and change committee meetings.
• Establish a progressive system for projects.
• Assist clients and teammates in developing construction and contract strategies for constructability, logistics, and safety.
• Assist in quantity analysis for activity durations and estimating purposes.
