AECOM is seeking a Senior Industrial Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of specialty gas, bulk gas, and chemical distribution systems for advanced manufacturing facilities. You will be the technical authority on hazardous production materials and UHP systems, collaborating with client facilities and cross-functional teams from concept through turnover.

Responsibilities include P&ID development, life-safety strategy, and coordination of gas monitoring and exhaust systems.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 6+ years of experience designing specialty gas or chemical distribution systems for high-purity facilities.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 24 months; proficiency with NFPA 55/400, ASME B31.3.
• US citizenship or equivalent is required for security clearances.

Responsabilidades

• Design bulk chemical distribution for acids, bases, solvents, CMP slurry and battery electrolyte, including dispense units and piping with leak detection.
• Specify UHP materials and quality (EP 316L stainless, PFA/PVDF) and perform cleanliness, moisture and O2 testing.
• Lead code and life-safety strategy analyses (IBC/IFC, MAQ, control-area) and HMIS/HMMP documentation.
• Coordinate toxic gas monitoring, emergency shutdown and exhaust with HVAC, fire protection, and controls.
• Develop P&IDs, utility matrices, tool hookups, POC design, and hydraulic/pressure-drop calculations.
• Support construction via submittals, RFIs, pressure/leak tests, commissioning and turnover.
• Serve as client-facing technical lead; mentor engineers to extend process-system capabilities.
• Travel to client sites as needed.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
