AECOM is seeking a Senior Industrial Mechanical Engineer to lead design of specialty gas, bulk gas and chemical distribution systems for Advanced Manufacturing. You will be the technical authority on hazardous production materials, collaborating with client facilities, EHS and tool teams from concept through turnover.

Responsibilities include designing gas and chemical distribution systems, leading life-safety analyses, and coordinating with HVAC and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 6+ years of experience in specialty gas/chemical distribution for high-purity facilities.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 24 months.
• US citizenship is required.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Plant 3D and P&ID development.
• Knowledge of NFPA 55, NFPA 400, ASME B31.3, IFC haz materials provisions and CGA standards.

Responsabilités

• Design bulk and specialty gas systems including cabinets, VMBs/VMPs, purifiers and POC connections.
• Design bulk chemical distribution for acids, solvents, CMP slurry and battery electrolyte.
• Lead code and life-safety strategy analysis and documentation.
• Coordinate toxic gas monitoring, emergency shutdown and exhaust with HVAC and controls.
• Develop P&IDs, utility matrices, tool hookups and hydraulic/pressure-drop calculations.
• Support construction submittals, RFIs, testing and turnover; mentor engineers.
